LAWYER DICKSON DONATES TO CSDS AFRICA AND CREATES ENDOWMENT

CSDS Africa on 12th February, 2019 received a generous cash donation and books from renowned National Security Lawyer and Author Osei Bonsu Dickson, Esq. Lawyer Dickson  signed an MOU with CSDS Africa to support the organization through both public-interest advocacy and a ten year endowment under the Dickson Prize in Security Law.

CSDS SIGNS MOU WITH LEX MUNDUS & CENCLA

CSDS has signed an MOU with the Accra-based law firm, Lex Mundus & Cencla, National Security Lawyers, to promote awareness about Advanced Security Technologies, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Cyber Law & Policies in West Africa.

Fortunately, this strategic partnership is occurring at a time when international usage and interest in the protection and surveillance of  public and cyber space is growing  in response to rising crime and terrorism.

The on-going research being undertaken by CSDS and its  partners seek to overcome the inadequacies of current technologies and meet the increased demand for improvements in target monitoring, following the immense costs of successful terrorist attacks. A solution may be found in advanced surveillance systems employing computer monitoring of video feeds, delivering the alerts to human responders for triage. Indeed such systems may assist in maintaining the high level of vigilance required over many years to detect the rare events associated with terrorism – a well designed computer system is never caught off guard.

CSDS surveillance research is aimed at developing advanced security solutions based on computer vision and pattern recognition technologies and advanced embedded systems.

We provide expertise and project support in the following areas:

1. CCTV and Secret Camera systems
2. Electric Fence
3. Intruder Alarm Systems
4. Fire Alarm Systems
5. Car Alarm Systems
6. Car tracking Devices
7. Video intercoms and Covert Systems
8. Gate Automation and Advanced Access Control Systems
9. National Intelligence and Defense Systems
10. Access Control Systems

We welcome applications from companies seeking partnership with us or from individuals who wish to pursue research and excellence in security, intelligence and defense.
